No one can say with certainty who wrote it, or which author wrote which portions. It would literally take me days to write out the evidence which leads me to my current conclusions, time that I don't have. The evidence is out there, if you care to study it. However, if your prerequisite goal of such a study is to remain a Mormon, then I daresay any evidence that would lead you away from that predetermined goal would be useless to you.

Preface to the Lecture
Below is a copy of the lecture Connell O'Donovan gave on April 28, 1997 at UC Santa Cruz on the history of homosexuality at Brigham Young University (BYU).

He has issued a formal challenge to the BYU administration to acknowledge the atrocities it has committed over the years against Queer people, publicly apologize for them, and offer monetary reparations to its victims of electric shock and vomiting aversion "therapies".

Subject: My Story - Used with permission

I have been wanting to write this for a long time, I just did not know where to start. I thought that it would be best to start at the beginning. I want to say that this is my experience with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( the Mormon church).

This story was a sequel which a couple of us created based on cliff hangers from the previously submitted post and this was the result. This was started by a Mr. A. Mr. E is me (Eric). We had both served missions and used that experience in creating this story. The story evolved between the two of us over a few months as we posted. A few definitions are listed for the non-Mormon who has happened to stumble on to this.

First let me say how much of a relief it is for me to have found this website. Never before had I felt truly understood in this world, but hearing these stories has made me realize that I'm not alone. Thank you so much.

Thoughts on Mormonism

The beginning.

There have been some people who have asked why I have given up on the
religion that I grew up with. That’s a good question and it deserves a
thoughtful answer. Had you asked me that question a couple of years ago I
would have shrugged and said that I just didn’t feel it in my heart anymore.
